2000. For the newly refurbished Grand Central Terminal in New York, Lipski created this spectacular “chandelier.” It graces the space at the Lexington Avenue entrance to the Grand Central Market. Echoing the spectacular Beaux Arts chandeliers in the terminal, and slyly referring to the star mural in the main concourse, this vision was fabricated by Jonquil LeMaster, the world’s foremost fabricator of artificial trees, and is hung with thousands of hand-faceted Austrian crystals.
